The Ambleside UFO
More unexplained lights seen in the Lake District - 'Not' a Chinese lantern claims witness!
Hot on the heals of our report on the Santon UFO
sighting we were today, 16th February 2009, contacted by Mike Addison,
Assistant Editor for The
Westmorland Gazette and South Lakes Citizen.
Mike told us that a lady from Ambleside reported seeing a
"big orange thing" last night
(Sunday 15th Feb. 09.) It was spotted over the Lake District fells in the
Ambleside region at 9.00pm.
She said that it was 'not' a Chinese lantern as it was:
"much too high for that" .
The witness stated that it was moving in a triangle shape and she watched it
with a friend for about half an hour.
The fact that this object was visible for so long
is interesting and may substantiate claims that this was not a Chinese lantern.
Such lanterns are quite flimsy things that are easily blown about in the wind.
Did anyone see this UFO or other Lake District sightings over the weekend?
