Filming with the UFO Hunters at the Rufford Canal in Lancashire

As promised, Dave Pavoni UFO Hunters Producer, and the rest of the film crew arrived at my Southport house around 10.30 am.
Fortunately the weather stayed dry as I led our unusual convoy, consisting of my family saloon followed by their two white vans loaded full of equipment, to the Lancashire canal location.

Permission to film had previously been granted I believe and we quickly set about getting some footage.

I found the guys very friendly and instantly felt at home with them. Interviewers Pat Uskert and Ted Acworth really made me feel welcome and we seemed to work well together. Their questions were logical, interesting and they did their job in a professional manner.

However, two 'Pats' on the same film set almost made for some comic confusion when the director shouted for "Pat", leading to me being nicknamed 'UK Pat' with Mr Uskert gaining the title of 'America Pat'.

Of course time was of the essence and I never quite got to finish all my interesting half-conversations with these American travellers. We chatted not only about UFOs but also divisive topics like angling in our northern waters, British country pubs, scientific limits and the mythology of the native UK soil, including folklore.
The latter being a subject close to my heart due to my published writings concerning our Pagan heritage; latest book being 'The New Pagan Handbook'.

Discussing the next take on the bridge
The film crew were humorous and the entire session, which lasted from 10.30 am to around 3.00pm, was a total pleasure. My wife Cath and our two youngest children, Jason & Jasmine came along too. Jasmine was interviewed also, which pleased us for she was the 'one' who had originally spotted the Rufford Twister back in July.

I look forward to seeing the results of this TV show when the crew's UK venture is finalised.
On getting back home the Champion newspaper reporter, Natasha Robson, rang me for details of the event. I also sent her a few photographs of the day as requested, which I believe she will use in a forthcoming article.
The team also showed the
Rufford UFO picture to an atmospheric scientist at Manchester University who
studied it and confirmed the object was 'not' debris from the funnel cloud.
I can only wish the UFO Hunters the Best of British luck with their noble attempts to search out the truth behind the growing tide of UFO Phenomena in the UK and elsewhere.
If anyone can get to the bottom of this - these guys can.

Sources from the UFO Hunters research team have recently analysed the UFO pictured next to the twister and concluded that the object is, as has been claimed by others, believed to be moving 'towards' the funnel cloud.
