Haydock UFO sightings
May 2009 update
A 37 year old witness called 'Jason' has contacted North West UFO Research (NWUR) about sightings of UFOs that he spotted in Haydock, close to St Helen’s
The above picture shows one of the unidentified objects pictured by the witness
Jason, a delivery driver, has recorded film footage and
pictures of a strange object (s) that he described as being white or having the
sun reflecting off it. This can be seen on Youtube in the example below.
We pointed out to Jason that in the film he exclaims "there's a balloon for you", as another object flies closer past the camera. Jason explained that someone nearby must have let a balloon fly off, so he included this in his film just for comparison with the unidentified object. He went on to tell us that he has mounted experiments with helium balloons himself and that they flew in a much different fashion to the UFO in question.
The first sighting recorded by him was by his home in Station Road on 17/7/07 at
19.20 hrs. He stated that two objects were seen high above his house.
At between 17-55hrs till 18-30hrs on 9th May 2009 Jason told NWUR Founder, Pat
Regan, that he spotted an object from his home again in the east, which he stated
was travelling at about around 40 thousand feet. .The UFO seemed to rise out of
sight.
He stated:
“It then reappeared above my house, that’s when the neighbours came out, hanging
washing out, some having a bar b q. it was a clear afternoon. I averted their
attention to the object, it looked white or the sun was reflecting off it. It
remained in the sky for 25mins, it seemed to rise, then ascend, it was not
moving fast, sometimes stopping. An airplane flew under it. I have footage of
that. I have seen this object before. I have other films. Ps, they aint
balloons.”
Jason added:
"In 2007-2008 our local paper was publishing sighting reports every other week, through June and July. it seemed a lot of people was seeing unusual stuff, nurses an so on."
Pat Regan NWUR Founder said:
"I have seen similar objects from the US UFO Hunters show from last summer. I am not certain what these objects are. I also asked Nick Pope for his opinion and he agreed that it was difficult to make any firm conclusions herein. "
Jason stated that he also has reported this to the MoD.
