The Santon UFO sighting
Mum and son spot unknown red lights near Holmrook, Cumbria
North West UFO Research today (14th February, 2009) received another eyewitness account of a Cumbrian UFO sighting
Location: Sorrowstones Farm, Santon, near Holmrook, Cumbria.
During the week beginning 19th January 2009 (the exact day was not specified) Lesley Aldridge was waiting with her son for the school bus at approximately 7.40 am.
The mother and son were looking up the valley towards the Muncaster Fells. It was still dark on that cold, frosty morning in question and Lesley saw one “bright red light flying from east to west towards the Ravenglass coast.”
Lesley told NWUR:
“My son who is 11 saw three bright red lights flying together closely, they were there one second and gone the next with no noise whatsoever flying fairly low (level with Muncaster fell).”
Lesley explained to NWUR that she initially didn't think anything about what they had witnessed back in January until she saw other UFO reports at a later date. She did not report the sighting at the time to any authority.
