UFO Sighting – Southport area

An unnamed member of the public from the Crossens area of Southport reported seeing a deep red flare that was
witnessed in the sky for an estimated 5 to 10 minutes looking towards the foreshore.
According to coast guards, nothing unusual was found after an investigation.
Weather conditions were very good with excellent visibility with clear skies.
The coast guard informed us that Marine Distress pyrotechnics have a burn time of only 1 minute duration.
