North West  UFO Research update - July 2009

 

Orange lights off Walney Island reported to HM Coastguard

 

 

NWUR member/HM Coastguard, Paul Harrison reports:

 

“On Wednesday 1st  July at 11pm  Coastguard received reports from a member of the public from Walney Island (Cumbria) of an orange light described as an orange flare going up over Sandy Gap in the direction of the sea. It was described as high in the sky and was observed in the sky for a couple of minutes.”

 

 

Paul added:

 

“Calls were made to two vessels transiting the area via VHF radio; both reported not seeing anything untoward.”
